The basic process of shipping companies to import and export. 2021-04-28 15:38 Shipping, company, export, import, basic, process,. ,International, The process of importing goods by international shipping companies is actually roughly the same as that of international air freight, except for the details. The basic process is as follows 01 Ask for the price. ①Container goods need to provide trade terms, delivery address, destination, product name, parts/weight/foot (length, width, and height required) ②The goods of the entire box need to provide: trade terms, delivery address, destination, product name, weight. Description: Since containerized goods share cabinets with other goods, 100% non-overlapping cannot be guaranteed, so only whether containerized goods can overlap is valid reference information. 02 Insurance. ①Purchase insurance in advance. After confirming the shipment, if insurance is required, arrange insurance first. The necessary information is as follows: Inspiration, destination, transportation method, shipper, consignee, order number/invoice number, insurance amount, etc. ②Insured formally. If you have detailed information such as the shipping number, you can issue a formal insurance policy to the insurance company. 03 Initial confirmation. Operating through the cargo agent, the following information needs to be provided to the cargo agent: Detailed information of the shipper Recipient's information. Order number, invoice number or any other information that can quickly confirm what kind of goods the shipper is. After , the freight forwarder will directly communicate with the consignor and give feedback to the consignee. After confirmation, the specific delivery date and appointment arrangement can be negotiated based on the communication results. 04 delivery. ①Packing and picking up the goods. Generally speaking, the truck returns the goods from the consignor to the warehouse designated by the container agent to wait for the container. ②The whole box of goods is picked up. Situation 1: The shipper can pack the container by himself, and the freight forwarder takes the empty container to pick up the goods from the shipper’s factory. After the shipper packs and seals the container himself, the agent pulls the heavy container directly back to the dock yard and waits for shipment. 2: If the consignor cannot complete the packing, it is necessary to arrange a truck to lift the goods and return to the warehouse designated by the agent. At the same time, the agent also needs to go to the shipping company’s yard to pick up the empty containers, arrange for them to be packed and sealed in the same warehouse, and then send the heavy containers to the dock yard to wait for shipment. In the second case, the price is higher, and it is a non-mainstream approach. Note: If you pick up the goods by truck, the pickup fee must be calculated based on the parts/weight/foot. 05 file confirmation. After picking up the goods, the freight forwarder will send the packing list, invoice and other tickets provided by the consignor to the consignee for confirmation, and proceed to the next step after correctness. 06 Sea freight pending order confirmation. Under normal circumstances, after the goods return to the port, the freight forwarder confirms the bill of lading information with the consignee, and waits for the ship to sail after confirming that it is correct. 07 Official bill of lading is issued. Theoretically, the official bill of lading can be obtained within 1-2 working days after sailing, but there are also delays in actual operation. Generally, it can be obtained about 1 week after sailing. After that, wait for the goods to arrive at the port, arrange import declarations, etc.
