Question: The house you designed-
The MI terminal does not look like a container at a glance or two.
What is behind this design?
Susan Freman: typical container houses look strange in the landscape.
I own the property where the house is located and have built several other more traditional houses in the area.
I want something that fits well with other houses, and at the same time have that modern feeling.
Q: Is there any secret?
We used two containers and a traditional wooden stick building.
The containers form the kitchen, living room and dining room side by side.
The traditional building was completed in the center.
Q: Why is the center?
SF: you don\'t have to do that, but it\'s a cheaper option.
When you have a traditional foundation in the center, it\'s much easier (and cheaper)
Install pipes and appliances for your home.
Q: So you can\'t put the container on a typical slab basis? SF: Oh no.
There must be a foundation somewhere in the hotel.
But there are many choices.
We put the container on the dock.
They will hold on for a long time.
Probably forever

Q: It sounds more complicated than the internet makes us believe.
SF: When I first saw the container design, I thought, \"We have to try it out.
Let\'s see what we need to know to achieve this.
\"But all this is not easy as I said.
There is a lot of learning built in this way.
This is a home, not a trailer.
This is complicated.
Q: So this is not something that anyone can DIY?
I do not recommend this.
Every part of it is heavy and awkward.
You have to have a team and a heavy-
